General Public, Club & High School Level ski racing:

TAG Heuer makes a simple to use, single course timer that can fit any budget for this type of racing. The CP520 is a great timer for this level of racing. Click here for a picture and specifications. Combined with the TAG Heuer HL2-31 Reflector type photocell and HL7-1 Start gate, you have an economical solution for your race department. The long delays in results are over with the advent of software. [xt] timing has a number of different software options that support the CP520. The CP520 can be used on the computer or stand alone and downloaded after the race.

We also offer timers that can handle both dual and single course. The CP705 and the PTB605 are both able to time both events. The TAG Heuer CP705 is the ultimate timer for the race department that needs one timer that can do it all. The CP705 can work with computer software or stand-alone, communicate with an external display, and has a built in printer and heating unit. The TAG Heuer PTB605 is a software driven solution. It absolutely needs a computer on site with timing software. It can be purchased with and without the printer but the printer is strongly recommended. The possibilities are endless with the myriad of software on the market! The staff in the Timing Department is standing by to help with your software questions or guidance on your choices.

Options:

The TAG Heuer 6 Digit display board is a great option for increased spectator interaction. The displays can work directly off the timer or from a software program. Contact us for technical assistance in this matter; we are ready to help you.

FIS Racing:

This level of ski racing has rules in place that govern the set-up of timing systems as well as the manufacturer of the equipment. It should be noted that all timing systems manufactured by TAG Heuer meet all FIS standards for homologation. The timing department is well versed with these rules and what that means for your equipment needs. Contact us with all questions. Basically, you can use any of the timers in our TAG Heuer line. The import things to remember are listed below:

a. System A & B are both electronic, printing time of day timers.

b. The finish line has two, separated, thru beam type or reflector type photocells that are properly aligned and positioned according to the rules. Applicable equipment: TAG Heuer HL2-35 & TAG Heuer HL2-31 or TAG Heuer HL2-32 Photocell system

c. The start gate is a manual return type that has two isolated outputs on two separate wire pairs traveling down the hill. Applicable equipment: (TAG Heuer HL7-1)

d. The preferred timing and scoring software is available from [xt] development. They also have wonderful club software available for use with the FIS program.

TAG Heuer Display Boards

The HL series digital display boards respond to many application demands. They are compact and solid units that are easily transportable. Up to 10 displays can be linked together in series or in parallel to display a variety of timing and other numeric information. These displays are compatible with all TAG Heuer timing systems and can be driven directly by our PC software products. An internal clock in the displays allows for the autonomous use of the displays as a stand-alone device to display time-of-day or for use with any of the many automated functions as required for pay-to-race installations.
