The mobile operator supports the young snowboard talents

Bonus to the amount of 20 000 leva received Alexandra Jekova from the sponsor of the Bulgarian Snowboard team - vivatel – on occasion of hers successful participation in the competitions during the last season. The Bulgarian Ski Federation was awarded with 18 333 leva for the support for the young snowboard talents in Bulgaria. Both of the cheques were presented personally by the Sales and Distribution Director of vivatel Krasimir Genov at the ceremony on occasion of the official end of ski season 2005/2006.

„For Vivatel it is an honour to congratulate Alexandra for her excellent performance this season. We believe that her achievements are big success for the Bulgarian winter sport”, announced during the ceremony Krasimir Genov. He expressed his confidence that the useful cooperation between vivatel and the Bulgarian Ski Federation will contribute for many future successes of the Bulgarian winter sport.

Our best snowboarder finished the season in an excellent manner when in the qualifications for the World Cup she was ranked 33rd and afterwards she managed to become 15th. She won two quotas in the snowboard discipline for Bulgaria for the Olympic Games in Italy and was our only representative of this sport in Turin 2006. Alexandra won the European Cup too in the snowboardcross discipline during the last starts of the chain on 8th and 9th of April 2006 in Bansko. The victory was announced by the Bulgarian Ski Federation at a press conference at Bulgaria Press Club.
