07 May 2005 - 15:37 THE SKI SEASON 2004/2005 IN BULGARIA ROUNDED OFF "Bulgaria" cup and "Nadejdi" cup prize ceremony

BFSki. 28.04.2005, Sofia. Bulgarian Ski Federation officially closed down the elite ski season 2004/2005. PHOTOGALERIES HERE!!! Rewarded were the "Bulgaria" cup and "Nadejdi" cup champions in the disciplines alpine skiing, cross-country, ski-jumping and snowboarding. The ceremony took place in "Hollywood" club in the entertainment center "Sofia Land".

The President of Bulgarian Ski Federation, Mr. Tzeko Minev drew the attention to the successful performance of the Bulgarian alpine racers and bestowed the prizes on the champions. The "Bulgaria" cup and "Nadejdi" cup winners are Stefan Georgiev and Dessislava Djourova. For the cross-country, best preformance for the season showed Ivan Bariakov and Teodora Malcheva. Bobo Grebencharski and Alexandra Jekova are the champions in the alpine snowboarding, while the free-style winners are Mario Benio and Emilia Kabadozova.

The prizes rewarded Mrs. Stefka Kostadinova, Vice Minister of the Sport, Mrs. Maia Georgieva, Executive Director of First Investment Bank, Mr. Jonatan Harfield, General Manager of First Investment Bank, Mrs. Pepa Mitzeva, General Secretary of Bulgarian Ski Federation, Prof. Latchezar Dimitrov, Rector of the National Sport Academy, Ivan Todorov, member of the Management Board of BFSki and Mr. Ilia El Feleki - Manager of "Max Sport" stores.

Mr. Ivan Slavkov gave as a present a picture from the campaign during the Sofia's candidature for the Winter Olympic games in 1996, wishing to BFSki to continue the initiative for Sofia to become the host of the Winter Olympic games.

The ceremony assisted representatives from the best Bulgarian ski clubs, national racers and coaches, many officials and ski friends, as well as many vip guests like the Minister of Energy and Energy Resources, Mr. Miroslav Sevlievski and Mr. Marc Girardelli, the alpine skiing consultant of Bulgarian Ski Federation.

Mr. Georgi Bobev, Vice President of BFSki, presented the new Technical Director of the national alpine ski teams - Mr. Eduard Reichhart.

Bulgarian Ski Federation presented the Management of FIBank, as general sponsor, with a plaque of honor. On their part, FIBnak offered as a gift special credit cards to the champions and their coaches.

BFSki expressed his appreciation to the representatives of the medias that were keeping the public adequately informed. Rewarded were BNT, Monitor, www.skibg.com and others.
