Terms Starting with Letter: B
backscattering - the process of scattering ir
deflecting into the sensitive volume of a measuring
instrument radiations that originally had no motion
in that direction. The process is dependent on the nature
of the mounting material, the nature of the sample,
the type and energy of the radiations, and the particular
geometric arrangement.
bleb - a bubble or vesicle filled with air.
bone marrow - the soft material that fills the
cavity in most bones and manufactures most of the formed
elements of the blood.
