Luca Pedersoli and Daniele Vernuccio added to their European Championship lead with an accomplished victory on the Rally of Bulgaria in their 306 Maxi.

The Italian crew completed the 283 kilometres of tarmac stages around Borovetz 51.2 seconds clear of French Super 1600 Champion Simon Jean-Joseph, the Renault man ultimately winning his duel with 306 driver Krum Dontchev by a comfortable margin of over a minute, the local man suffering a misfire in the closing stages.

Polish Mitsubishi man Michal Solowow maintained his fourth place and took victory in Group N. Pedersoli has a 10-point lead over Jean-Joseph after the third round of the championship.
